Morning showers and frost warning

Freeze warning for all of southeast Wisconsin from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday morning with low temperatures as low as 29 degrees.

There were scattered showers last night and into this morning. The highest rain chances and amounts today will be closer to the lakeshore. This morning we could see some wet snowflakes or sleet mixed in with a few showers. There could be a few showers near the lakeshore this afternoon, but most areas will dry out and there will even be some sunshine later in the day. Winds will be gusty with speeds up to 30 mph and chilly highs in the low 50s.

With clearing skies and a cool breeze from the northwest, temperatures will fall quickly tonight. Lows range from the mid 30s on the lakeshore to the upper 20s inland. It's cold enough to trigger freeze warnings from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Cover or bring the sensitive plants indoors.

Lots of sunshine and warming up for the rest of the week. Highs will be back in the 60s on Thursday and will climb into the 70s over the weekend!
