The survey data in this report comes from a Survey commissioned by Redfin and conducted by Ipsos in September 2024. 1,802 people aged 18 to 65 participated in the survey. This report focuses on the 805 homeowners who answered the following question: Regardless of who you choose to vote for, which candidate do you think will be best suited to keeping your home's value high? Respondents could choose Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, another candidate or “I don’t know.”

Keeping home values ​​high is usually a good thing for homeowners, since much of their wealth is tied to the equity they have in their home.
