The latest Smile 2 featurette goes behind the scenes and shows how Naomi Scott had to sing and dance to become Skye Riley

Writer/director Parker Finn's sequel to his 2022 horror film Smile (Read our review HERE, watch the film HERE) aims for one October 18thThe theatrical release date and with that date only a few days away, a new featurette is online giving us another look behind the scenes Smile 2. In this featurette, embedded above, we get a glimpse into the inner workings of film star Naomi Scott Aladdin And Charlie's AngelShe brought her pop star character Skye Riley to life. Smile was based on Finn's short film Laura didn't sleep (check it out HERE), which won the Special Jury Prize in SXSW's Midnight Short category. Caitlin Stasey (Neighbors) played the title character in this short film and reprises the role Smilewhich makes it a follow-up of sorts. Smile has the following summary: After Dr. After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident with a patient, Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) experiences frightening events that she cannot explain. When an overwhelming terror begins to take over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past to survive and escape her terrifying new reality.

Here is the one Smile 2 Summary: Global pop sensation Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) is about to embark on a new world tour and experiences increasingly horrific and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and pressures of fame, Skye is forced to confront her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.

Smile was produced by Temple Hill, and they produce Smile 2 as well as. Joining Scott in the cast is Lukas Gage from The White Lotus And YouRosemarie DeWitt from La La Land and the poltergeist Remake, Dylan Gelula by Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt And Dream scenarioRaúl Castillo by Army of the Dead And Knife outMiles Gutierrez Riley by The Wilderness And On The Come Upand Kyle Gallner (Red state), reprising the role he played in the first film. Another featurette revealed that Drew Barrymore (Scream) also appears, playing himself and interviewing Skye Riley on her talk show.
