If you're having trouble accessing metaservices, you're not alone. Both Instagram and Facebook appear to be experiencing widespread outages. Threads is also affected by the outage.

When accessing the Instagram website, I'm currently getting an error message: Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.

Outages on Facebook and Instagram

According to outage aggregation service Downdetector, complaints about outages on Instagram and Facebook began shortly after 1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT. As time goes on, the reports increase. A quick search of other social networks shows that more and more users are reporting that Facebook and Instagram are down for them.

It's unclear how widespread the outages are on Instagram, Facebook and Threads. For some people, the services will eventually load – just much slower than usual. However, other people do not have access to Meta's services at all.

Meta has not commented on the outages on Facebook, Threads or Instagram. We will update this post as we learn more…
