Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attend the Yankees' playoff game in New York

One of the country's most prominent and influential couples took the spotlight in baseball's postseason on Monday night as the New York Yankees opened the American League Championship Series at home.

Major League Baseball posted a video showing pop juggernaut Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, a tight end for the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs, in the stands after previously announcing their presence.

The Yankees host the ALCS opener against the Cleveland Guardians in a best-of-seven battle to determine which team will head to the World Series to face the winner of the National League Championship Series between the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers to compete.

Swift and Kelce have become a mainstay at high-profile sporting events, particularly in New York City. Last month, the couple kept the paparazzi busy with a trip to Arthur Ashe Stadium, where Italian Jannik Sinner defeated American Taylor Fritz for the US Open men's tennis championship.

Each member of the Swift-Kelce phenomenon has taken time to support the other this year. Kelce, 35, attended some of Swift's sold-out Eras Tour concerts around the world, including in Australia, and Swift, 34, supported Kelce from the stands at the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas.

Swift was last back at Arrowhead Stadium on Oct. 7 to support the Chiefs as they defeated the New Orleans Saints at home, 26-13. Kelce scored 70 yards receiving.

Late last year, the Eras Tour became the highest-grossing tour in history, grossing over $1 billion, according to concert industry publication Pollstar.
