Bill Clinton visibly shakes as he appears for Harris in Georgia, a day after blaming Veep for Laken Riley's murder

Former President Bill Clinton had a rough few days trying to drum up support for Vice President Kamala Harris in Georgia.

The 42nd president, 78, held the microphone with his hands clearly shaking during an appearance in Columbus on Monday, a day after he was first mistaken for President Biden by a McDonald's employee at a fast food pit stop – and then Harris-Biden blamed The US government did not properly vet the migrant accused of killing nursing student Laken Riley.

“They got a case in Georgia not too long ago, didn't they – they made a report about it – a young woman who had been killed by an immigrant,” Clinton said Sunday during a fish fry in Fort Valley, referring to referring to the murder of Riley on February 22nd.

“Yes, if they had all been properly vetted, this probably wouldn’t have happened,” the former president added.

Riley's accused killer is Jose Ibarra, a Venezuelan immigrant who has ties to the dangerous Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang and illegally entered the United States with him in September 2022 – during Harris' term as President Biden's so-called “border czar”. Girlfriend and her 5 year old son.

Ibarra was arrested in El Paso, Texas, but was released on parole after less than 24 hours in custody due to a lack of detention capacity and ordered to report to authorities in October of this year, ICE insiders told the Post in March.

In August 2023, Ibarra was arrested by the NYPD and charged with driving a gas-powered moped with Franco's son on the back without the child having head protection or a restraint.

Ibarra was eventually released and fled to Georgia to his brother Diego, who is also connected to TdA.

In the final three weeks before the election, Harris' campaign team tasked Clinton with bolstering support for the Democrat. The Peach State has not supported a Democrat in two consecutive presidential elections since native son Jimmy Carter won the state in 1976 and 1980.

At the same time, Clinton tried to make the case for mass immigration, saying, “America isn't having enough children to keep the population going. So we need vetted immigrants to work.”

The former president repeated that claim on Monday, admitting that Americans don't want “chaos” at the border, but adding that Americans are not “at replacement level, which means we have to bring someone here when we get the “We want to keep the economy growing.” ”

“Unless one of you with this artificial intelligence genius can figure out how we can all grow without work,” he added jokingly.

Clinton also advocated for a bipartisan spending bill that Democrats wanted to present as evidence that they wanted to fix the border.

“There it was on a silver platter, a new direction to deal with an immigration crisis at a difficult time when there is all this unrest around the world,” Clinton said on Monday, dubiously claiming that Biden and Harris had been “three years” into it had worked to bring the border under control.

The former president then argued that Trump was the one who wanted to block passage of the border bill and reiterated Democrats' talking points about the bill, which was blocked by Senate Republicans.

“Trump killed the bill,” Clinton said at the fish fry on Sunday, claiming the measure would have helped the administration screen more immigrants.

The border bill would have allowed the president to close border crossings between ports of entry if there were more than 4,000 border crossings per day for seven consecutive days. Republicans argued that this would still allow nearly two million migrants per year and that the president already had the authority to implement similar measures without congressional approval.

Harris has also championed the border bill and would likely work to reintroduce it to Congress if she assumes the presidency.

Clinton was last elected in 1996, meaning the youngest voters who supported him are now in their mid-40s.

The former president, known for his love of the Golden Arches, underwent quadruple bypass surgery in 2004 and hinted during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this summer that he might not get another chance to speak with delegates to speak to his party.

“I want to say this from the bottom of my heart, I have no idea how many more of these I can reach,” he said in lengthy remarks.

“I started in 1976 and have been to everyone since – no, 1972. Lord, I’m getting old.”
