Three Buffalo Bills starters are unsure whether they will face the Jets on Monday Night Football

Defensive tackle Ed Oliver won't be available for Monday Night Football, but hope remains for several struggling Buffalo Bills starters.

Starting nickel cornerback Taron Johnson, wide receiver Khalil Shakir and running back James Cook all participated in Saturday's practice on a limited basis and are officially making a questionable start to the Oct. 14 road game against division rival New York Jets and future Hall of Famers Fame. Famous quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

“Most of these are extremity injuries. “I’m really looking to see how well they can perform in practice today so they can do their job on Monday night,” McDermott said Saturday at Orchard Park.

Johnson hasn't played since injuring his forearm in a Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins. The All-Pro First Team defenseman has participated in practice, albeit on a limited basis, over the past two weeks.

Shakir missed the Week 5 loss due to an ankle sprain as the receiving team as a whole struggled in his absence. The Bills wide receivers secured just 4 of 18 combined targets in the 23-20 loss. Shakir missed training on Thursday and Friday before being upgraded to restricted status on Saturday.

Cook injured his toe in last Sunday's loss to Houston. Like Shakir, Buffalo's RB1 was limited Saturday after two days on the sidelines. Reports suggest Cook will have his way in prime time over the divisional affair.

It's also questionable whether rotating defensive tackle Austin Johnson, who is dealing with an oblique injury, will return Monday night.

The Bills (3-2) and Jets (2-3) kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
