Conor McGregor threatens KSI in X-rated interview with fight-ready UFC icon | Boxing | sport

Conor McGregor has told KSI he will only fight him because of his viral new song Thick Of It. There have been rumors of a fight between the two men in the past, with the duo almost coming to blows after Anthony Joshua's victory over Robert Helenius at the O2 Arena last year.

McGregor was last in the MMA cage in 2021, but suffered two straight UFC losses to Dustin Poirier.

The 36-year-old has only had one boxing showdown in his professional career, losing by TKO to Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

KSI, meanwhile, defeated fellow YouTuber Logan Paul in his first boxing match of 2019 and won four more fights before losing to Tommy Fury in his last fight a year ago.

The 31-year-old works across industries and is also a musician. He has released eight UK top 10 singles and has worked with artists such as Craig David and Anne-Marie in the past.

McGregor was asked about a possible fight with KSI during an appearance earlier this week. And the Irishman shouted, “Let’s go, man. I'll fight him for that damn song he released on his own. I’m going to fight him for this damn song.”

McGregor spotted KSI in the crowd while speaking to Joshua after his win against Helenius in August 2023.

And the MMA star shouted: “I know your man KSI is in the crowd and he wouldn't be able to pack eggs if he worked in an egg packing factory.” So if he wants in here I'll give him one last yoke if you want, with your bare fingers.”

KSI later responded to the incident, stating: “If I'm honest, it was pretty strange. I think I heard Conor say that I can't box and this and that. It was pretty embarrassing for him because AJ said, “No, that's my type,” so he looked a little stupid there.

“But with Conor I definitely think he wants a bite of the cherry, he wants a piece of the king and he understands that this is exactly where the money is at stake.

“Everyone is a normal person at the end of the day, just like me, just a normal guy, and I treat everyone the same. Just because he’s Conor McGregor doesn’t mean anything to me.”

McGregor is one of the most recognizable stars in combat sports and has never shied away from the spotlight.

But his behavior led Arsenal to launch an internal investigation earlier this month after he walked onto the Emirates pitch following the Gunners' Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain and engaged in an overzealous match-fight with Bukayo Saka.
