Conor McGregor challenges KSI to a boxing match after hearing his “Bulls**t” song

Conor McGregor could be gearing up for a fight with KSI after the Irishman wasn't impressed with the YouTuber's latest song.

McGregor, 36, has not fought since his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021 – a fight in which he suffered a broken leg.

Since then, McGregor's name has been mentioned by several UFC fighters, but so far no fight has occurred.

He was originally scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303, but the Irishman pulled out after suffering a toe injury during his training camp.

The former double champion is at a crossroads in his career. There will be opportunities to add to his enormous fortune through “exhibition fights” in boxing, but whether he still has the desire to push for UFC success remains to be seen.

The 36-year-old swapped the UFC octagon for the boxing ring back in August 2017 when he fought and lost against Floyd Mayweather.

On Friday evening, the Misfits Boxing YouTube account posted a video of McGregor seemingly calling out KSI.

“Let’s go, mate,” Conor McGregor said in the interview

When McGregor was asked if he would fight KSI in a boxing ring in the future, he seemed interested in making it happen.

“I will fight him for the bullshit song he released alone! I'll fight him over this damn song alone. We’re back, baby!”

The song in question is titled “Thick of It” and features rapper Trippie Redd. The song has come under fire online, with several fans making fun of KSI's latest work.

In addition to his musical successes, KSI had six high-profile boxing matches. He won his first four fights with victories over Logan Paul, Swarmz, Luis Alcaraz Pineda and FaZe Temperrr.

However, his fifth fight was ruled a no-contest after KSI defeated his opponent Joe Fournier with an elbow. The last time he lost was a unanimous decision to Tommy Fury in October 2023.

This isn't the first time McGregor has called out KSI.

In August 2023, the two were at Anthony Joshua's fight against Robert Helenius when McGregor shouted: “I know your man KSI is in the crowd and he couldn't pack eggs if he worked in an egg packing factory.” So if If he wants to get in here, I'll give him one last yoke, with my bare fingers if you want.”

After the incident, KSI explained: “I think I heard Conor saying I can't box and this and that. It was pretty embarrassing for him because AJ was like, 'No, that's my type,' so he looked there a bit stupid looking.

“But with Conor I definitely think he wants a bite of the cherry, he wants a piece of the king and he understands that this is about the money.”
