While Justin Bieber has strongly denied any connection to the allegations against Sean Diddy Combs, the American rapper reportedly has difficulty trusting other people and keeps his distance from those he has known for decades.

Recent public appearances by 30-year-old Bieber, who welcomed his first child with wife Hailey in August, have sparked concern among his fans and supporters.

The Stay singer was linked to Diddy's arrest after disturbing footage of the disgraced music mogul with the teenage celebrity emerged in the media.

In one particular video, Diddy speaks to the camera alongside 15-year-old Bieber and says, “He spends 48 hours with Diddy, where we hang out and what we do we can't really reveal.” But it's definitely a 15-year-old's dream Year old…he’s with me for the next 48 hours and we’re going to go crazy.”

In another video, Combs can be seen groping Bieber before they board a private jet, seemingly to look for a cable.

A third clip shows Diddy telling young Bieber, “You didn't call me and hang out like you used to.”

Industry insider talks about Bieber's situation

According to insiders, the ghosts of his past haunt the singer, who has spoken openly about his substance use, anxiety and depression. He even admitted to taking Xanax to cope with the “shame” of his promiscuity.

“Do I think he was involved in some stupid shit? Yes,” an industry insider who worked on Bieber’s crew for years told Page Six. Recalling when Bieber was a teenager, the source continued: “He was the biggest pop star in the world. Everyone was worried about him and we didn't know if he would survive. People took advantage of everything he did.”

According to a music insider, the Never Say Never singer has “alienated” the people around him because he “doesn't trust them” because he's done “some really crazy things.”

The insider further stated that Bieber's family members are “worried.” Citing Justin's closeness with his family and his manager Scooter Braun's genuine concern for him, the source added that it's hard to say whether “Diddy would have taken advantage of him back then.”

“But Justin went through a really bad time, a very rebellious phase.”
