The man accused of a possible third assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump spoke to Fox News Digital and said the claims against him were false in his first extensive interview since his arrest.

Vem Miller, 49, said he reported to authorities the weapons he always travels with, even though he never uses them, at a checkpoint to attend Trump's Coachella rally Saturday night, denying documents from Sheriff Chad Bianco of Riverside County said fake is legitimate.

His arrest on weapons charges sparked speculation after two assassination attempts on Trump since July. However, he was quickly released on $5,000 bail and no federal charges have been filed so far.

“I always travel around with my firearms in the back of my truck,” Miller told Fox News Digital in a telephone interview.

He says he never fired them, but he started keeping them around when he got death threats.

“I have literally never shot a gun in my life,” Miller said.

“I don’t know anything about guns. I’m more than a beginner,” he continued.

Miller said he has been in the media industry for 30 years and started working after graduating from high school. He has also worked on music videos and television shows with major artists and created the America Happens Network to combat “censorship” in the media. While doing this work, Miller told Fox that he began receiving death threats and buying his firearms.

Miller said he grew up a Democrat and thought Barack Obama would “save us from unnecessary wars and censorship.”

“I’ve definitely become more Republican now,” he says, describing himself and his business partner as more libertarian.

“Yes, I am 100% a Trump supporter,” Miller said, adding that he was “all on Trump’s side” in 2018.

“This is a man I deeply admire because I was a closed individual in terms of my beliefs because I worked in Hollywood. When my politics began to change, I realized that Hollywood is a homogeneous community,” Miller continued.

Miller said he flirted with Sanders “without realizing the implications of socialism” but now and since 2018 he has “constitutional convictions” and called Trump a “visual example of free speech.”

Miller even called Trump “courageous” and said he admired the former president for taking action against the media.

When asked about all the fake IDs and passports he had in his car, Miller claimed none of them were fake.

“None of it is fake,” he says of the passports and ID cards that were in his possession.

Miller says he is Armenian and has documents that use his full Armenian name and documents that do not use it, as the use of these documents could result in his death in some places in the world, and refers refers to centuries-long campaigns to murder Armenians.

He also addressed Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, suggesting he was part of the “sovereign citizen” movement.

“That’s a nonsensical statement,” he says of the Sovereign Citizen movement. Miller said he doesn't support it or be a part of it.

“I don’t think there is such a thing,” he says, adding that the two terms make no sense together.

Regarding the sheriff's accusation that he is a “right-wing extremist,” Miller says: “That's another nonsensical statement.”

“The government is an inanimate object, it's the individuals within the government that matter, so no, I'm not a part of that,” Miller said. “Are you saying that I am part of these right-wing anti-government groups? Why don't they call these groups by name? Because they don’t exist.”

A source close to the Trump campaign also told Fox News' Bill Melugin and another told Fox News' Bryan Preston that they do not believe this was an assassination attempt on Trump.

A Trump campaign spokesperson issued a statement to Fox News Digital saying they were monitoring the situation.

“We thank law enforcement for securing the rally site and helping to ensure President Trump’s safety. We are aware of news reports of the arrest and are currently monitoring the situation and gathering further information,” the statement said.

In an earlier statement, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office said, “This incident had no impact on the safety of former President Trump or.” Participants of the event.”
