Courtney Williams scored 23 points to lead the No. 2 seed Minnesota Lynx to a 95-93 overtime victory over the top seed New York Liberty in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals on Thursday in Brooklyn.

The Lynx, who trailed by 18 points in the first quarter and 15 points midway through the fourth period, became the first team in WNBA postseason history to win a game after scoring by more than 15 in the final five minutes of regulation points were behind.

Game 2 is Sunday in Brooklyn (3 p.m. ET, ABC). Every game will be broadcast on ESPN networks.
