The official summary for The Fantastic Four: Getting Started has yet to be revealed, but it has been confirmed that the MCU reboot will take place in a retro-futuristic version of the 1960s. According to Shakman, one of her inspirations for the film was the space race. “It's a lot about the space race and the journey there,” Shakman explained. “So First Steps is partly about the idea of exploration. The comic was created in the early '60s, actually at the same time as the space race began, and is therefore imbued with the idea of looking at the stars and dreaming of a future in which we would be space travelers.

The Fantastic Four: Getting Started will be in theaters on July 25, 2025.
