Angry University of Michigan fans booed Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz after he made them wait in the rain while his motorcade arrived at the Wolverines' game against Minnesota on Saturday, Sept. 28. Rain-soaked fans at the Ann Arbor stadium could be heard chanting “Tampon Tim,” mocking Walz for allowing free tampons in schools, including boys' rooms.

Some supporters held signs supporting Walz and Kamala Harris. However, he was booed after fans had to wait up to 30 minutes in the rain before being allowed to enter the venue.

Another said: “Yes, when there are real people there and not bussed there, we get a real picture of how people feel.” Another said: “If they boo Walz in Ann Arbor, Harris/ Walz at the end.”

During the game, Walz was seen running onto the field to meet with the team's head coach, Sherrone Moore. However, he couldn't reach him. He finally got a hug from the Minnesota Golden Gophers mascot. In that game, Michigan defeated the University of Minnesota 27-24.
