    Oscar-nominated director Edward Berger is now the 11/8 favorite at UK Betting Sites to direct the next James Bond film after reports he is in the running for the role.

    World Of Reel's July report states that Berger is in the running to direct the next Bond film, but the film is still a few years away.

    Previous names that have been linked to the director's role include Danny Boyle, Matthew Vaughn and Christopher Nolan, but the door may now be open for Berger to helm the film.

    The German director's last film was “All Quiet in the West,” which received nine nominations and four awards, including best international film.

    At odds of 11/8, William Hill's current betting market puts him ahead of the others with an implied probability of 42.1% to be chosen as the next Bond director.
