Fantasy Game Changers: Players to Trust in Cowboys vs. Steelers | Fantasy Football Live

The Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football Live team looks ahead to Sunday night's game between Dallas and Pittsburgh – and how CeeDee Lamb, Justin Fields and Najee Harris could influence fantasy managers.

Video transcript

Alright, so for this week let's turn to our fantasy game changers brought to you by Ram Trucks, where we identify some of the most influential players in one of the best fantasy matchups on the program.

Football on Sunday night, Dallas faces Pittsburgh.

Uh, we know this game, everyone's keeping an eye on it.

This game takes place in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers are ahead by 2.5 points.

The over under is 44.

So when I say “Fantasy Game Changer,” Matt, you say “Yeah, I mean CD Lamb, Fantasy Game Changer,” then I think we, we, we can talk about CD Lamb.

But my question here is: Is there anything else in Dallas that interests us from a fantasy perspective other than CD Lamb?

You know, I write a weekly preview column and part of that is giving me the biggest storyline for this team each week.

I'm kind of like, I don't know what to talk to the Cowboys about.

Okay, Brandon Cooks isn't playing. Brandon Cooks did so much anyway.

He didn't look like the same player.

That's why we're promoting Jalen Tolbert.

Jake Ferguson.

Can he continue to look like one of the right answers in Dallas at the tight end position?

Let's hope so.

He's a little healthier now.

For me it's just that I could sit here again and tell you about it.

Wow.

CD-Lamm, great player who has had a great week.

Uh, Joey Porter Junior plays outside most of the time.

It's probably not as big of a matchup as people think because Zi is so strong on the inside.

I'm even more curious when we start the game tonight. Will we find out if Ric O'dell is a bigger player than we think? Can Jalen Tolbert step up and be the number two pick? Wide receiver?

Those are, in my opinion, the more relevant questions going forward, not against Pittsburgh's defense.

For the old Tolbert types, I wouldn't go that deep.

Ferguson probably has a good game here, but aside from Lamb, we're just looking for something to talk about with the Dallas Cowboys.

It's crazy that the offense is one dimensional, which has been the case for several years and they still won 12 games this year.

It doesn't look like they're headed for that outcome.

Tara, um, what do you plan to do if I say “Fantasy Game Changer” in this case?

I feel like I can't talk about anything other than Justin Fields and his miraculous turnaround after escaping Chicago.

Sorry Andy, but Justin Fields is having his best performance of the season and continues to be very efficient.

He's a changed man here at about six years old and is completing about 65% of his passes.

He literally topped 300 yards for the first time this season, um, about the second time in his entire career, and then he added a passing touchdown, and he had carries on the ground, two rushing touchdowns , a total of three touchdowns.

QB one is ready for this week.

He was fantastic and he looks great.

And it's fair to say that this is again the guy that we might see him against now in a different light than, um, as a net defense last week in Indianapolis.

But even against Dallas this week, I feel comfortable ranking him and moving him further up the rankings.

We talked about Dallas and its hardships.

They also struggled with injuries on defense.

It is not the same as what we have seen in the past.

So I feel like Justin Fields can absolutely take over this game from both a game manager perspective and a volume perspective, and on the ground he has it all in this matchup.

Say it with me, coaching is important.

That's all I say when it comes to offensive coordinators, especially Andy Barns. When I say “Fantasy Game Changer,” you say, “Well, first of all, how about Harmon disrespecting Fantasy League winner Brandon Aubrey?”

Um, that's outrageous.

He is, he carries us.

Uh, I'll go though, with Nae Harris here.

He's just in an incredible position this week.

It's a near perfect storm situation in fantasy.

First of all, Jalen Warren and Cordell Patterson are out this week against Dallas, the Cowboys' defense.

We've already talked about this.

They were generous against the run all season, giving up over 100 and 45 rushing yards per game.

And this week Dallas is without Parsons, they have no warrants.

It's clear to me that Harris has been a relatively ineffective defender this season.

Um, but he has at least 16 touches and 70+ scrimmage yards every game.

The volume hasn't been a problem so far.

He could be on pace for a season high in touchdowns this week, considering the state of the backfield I think we'll get a total of 100 yards and a touchdown from NAJ.

This week, the Cowboys have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs.

And again, with a better version of this defense.
