The multi-hyphenate Donald Glover announced on social media Friday that he was canceling Childish Gambino's remaining tour dates due to health concerns.

“After assessment, it became clear that I would not be performing that evening, and after further testing, I was unable to complete the remainder of the U.S. tour in the required time,” he wrote. “At the moment I have surgery planned and I need some time off to heal.”

The news comes a month after Glover shared in a post on X that he had to postpone the tour to “focus” on his physical health.

Glover did not provide any further information regarding his specific health concerns in his statement Friday. A Glover spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Grammy Award-winning “This Is America” ​​singer called the decision to cancel tour dates in North America, the United Kingdom and Europe “difficult.” But he wrote: “My road to recovery is something I need to seriously address.”
