To you for supporting my faith in humanity,” one person wrote. Another said: “I admire you for what you do,” one wrote. And another said: “I admire you for what you do.”

In one video, Biffle, affectionately known as “The Biff” in the NASCAR community, zooms in on someone who was stranded in the mountains but caught the pilot's attention from more than a mile away by using a mirror, to reflect the light of the sun.

“It was the only way we could find someone stranded in the mountains at the bottom of a steep ravine,” he wrote.

In another, Biffle shows a landing maneuver he performed to bring supplies — a chainsaw, EpiPens, insulin, chicken feed, formula, gasoline and more — to the canyon floor.

“Trees. Gorges. Power lines,” he captioned a post on X that included a video of him landing a helicopter on a narrow strip of open grass in a heavily wooded area. “I’m glad this little beast of a helicopter can make it to areas inaccessible to larger aircraft.”

Biffle also alerted families of stranded hurricane victims that their loved ones are OK.

When an X user asked how she could connect Biffle to those who needed his help, he replied: “Coordinates please.”

He also shared aerial photos of the widespread devastation in western North Carolina, a region in the heart of NASCAR country.

Biffle, 54, was named one of NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers last year. He started in 515 NASCAR Cup Series races and won 19 victories. He was the first driver to win championships in both the Xfinity Series and Truck Series.
