49ers' Nick Bosa supports Donald Trump on live TV as he crashes postgame interview

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30-24 on Sunday night and are 4-4 to start their season.

After the game, the 49ers' three offensive stars – quarterback Brock Purdy, tight end George Kittle and running back Isaac Guerendo – were interviewed on NBC.

Just as their interview began, star defenseman Nick Bosa popped on screen to tip his hat. It read “Make America Great Again.”

After the game, Bosa was asked about the political statement.

“I won’t talk about it too much,” Bosa said, “but I think it’s an important time.”

He left it at that.

In 2019, before Bosa was drafted, he openly expressed support for Trump on social media. However, leading up to the NFL Draft, he decided to tone things down a bit and even deleted some of his tweets.

“I had to,” Bosa told ESPN in 2019. “There’s a chance I could end up in San Francisco.”

Bosa actually ended up in San Francisco, where he was selected No. 2 overall. Since then, he has developed into one of the league's best defenders, making four Pro Bowls, earning an All-Pro First Team, and winning both Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2019 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2022, as he led the league with 18.5 sacks.

Bosa was released on Sunday evening and now has a season grade of 4.5.

While Bosa has toned down his political involvement in recent years, he clearly wanted to send a message on Sunday night after the 49ers' win. Election Day is just over a week away on Tuesday, November 5th. The 49ers are bye next week and don't play another game until after the 2024 election.

On the field, the 49ers picked up a much-needed win over Dallas and are 4-4 on the season. After trailing 10-3 and trailing 10-6 at halftime, the 49ers dominated the third quarter and took a 27-10 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Although Dallas was able to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter, they failed to do so, sending the 49ers home happily as they entered their bye week.

Purdy completed 69.2 percent of his passes for 260 yards and a touchdown and added another 56 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Kittle was the leading receiver for San Francisco with six catches for 128 yards and a touchdown.
