2025 NFL Draft: Browns draft picks after Amari Cooper trade to Bills

Unfortunately for Cleveland Browns fans, the focus of the NFL season is already on the upcoming NFL Draft. For decades, Browns fans consoled themselves with the knowledge that another losing season could lead to a draft class that would finally turn the tables on the many years of defeat.

This year should be different in Cleveland. A great squad coming off a playoff appearance should compete for even more in 2024.

Instead, a historically bad offense, questions about the QB Deshaun Watson and in trade with WR since Tuesday Amari Cooper The NFL Draft is once again at the center of the conversation surrounding the Browns.

Back in August after I traded away DT Chris Williams and the conditional trade in kickers Cade Yorkwhat didn't work, we shared that Cleveland had eight draft picks in the first four rounds, including each of their own.

Now that we've received a third-round pick from the Buffalo Bills and returned a sixth-rounder, the Browns' 2025 NFL Draft picks are still eight, albeit with a different premium selection:

  • 1st round – your own
  • 2nd round – your own
  • 3rd Round – Yours, the Buffalo Bills (Amari Cooper Trade)
  • 4th round – your own
  • None in the 5th round – Traded away in the Za'Darius Smith deal
  • 6th round – your own, the Minnesota Vikings (Za'Darius Smith deal) and the Chicago Bears (Williams deal)

After having one or two picks in the top 100 in recent years due to the Watson trade, Cleveland enters the 2025 draft with four of them and currently has a very high selection given their record.

With a few more players available to trade, the Browns' roster and draft picks could change again in the next three weeks before the NFL trade deadline.
