• The 49ers improve to 4-4 with a 30-24 win over the Cowboys, who fall to 3-5.
• George Kittle had a monster game on National Tight End's Day, finishing with six receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown.
• Isaac Guerendo had to carry a heavier load when Jordan Mason left the game with a shoulder injury and the rookie running back took a big step forward. Guerendo ran for 85 yards on 14 carries and scored a touchdown. Late in the fourth quarter, he had a chance for a second touchdown but slipped, allowing the 49ers to run out of time.
• Deebo Samuel overcame pneumonia and played a big role in the win, catching four passes for 71 yards. Towards the end of the game, the veteran wide receiver suffered a rib injury and did not return to the game.
• Rookie Ricky Pearsall had the best game of his young NFL career, catching four passes for 38 yards while also completing a jet sweep for 39 yards.
• Quarterback Brock Purdy rebounded after a poor performance against the Kansas City Chiefs. Against the Cowboys, Purdy completed 18 of 26 passes for 260 yards and a touchdown. He threw no interceptions. The third-year pro also used his legs, rushing eight times for 56 yards. His QB sneak late in the third quarter gave the 49ers a 27-10 lead.
